A new engine terminal lead paralleling the MidWay west lead is being planned. The current crossover should be removed. Steam and diesel shop leads will take off from this new lead. The new lead will allow engines to move unrestricted to Trk 26, then down to the East yard end, or up to the West yard lead and then come down to any West yard track. It will also allow engine movements without blocking yard tracks or yard lead.
It was decided to continue construction of the new turntable and not try to use one from old club.
We purchased a 10amp NCE wireless set. Current price from Youngwood is ~$469. Power supply from TonyÕs is $69. With this purchase, we will have two Pro NCE handheld wireless controllers and sufficient power to run two-three trains. The 5 amp NCE wireless system can be used for Narrow gauge and to take home for decoder installation.
Rewiring of the Passenger yard leads blocks P1, P2 such that trains can move from blks D3, A3 into P1, P2. Also, Post Rd and Pass panel will be interlocked such that only one can control the interchange blocks P1,P2, not both (as was current situation).
On the Oakland, Antioch and Eastern Interurban line, trackwork in the Churchill yard area has been installed along with overhead wiring.
On the Eureka and Empire On3 layout, trackwork is progressing around the town of Palisade. The Palisade village has new structures and street work.
Winter work days will be scheduled to continue plaster work on Mt. Zenith and Midway scenery.
